Managed Text™ — Police Suite

Based on the proven Managed Text platform and extensively used by many UK police forces, MTPS is specifically designed to help address the communications challenges faced by Police forces today.

MTPS is supplied as a set of self-contained modules built on the Managed Text platform. A given installation may consist of one or two specific modules or the the entire suite.

Regardless of which or how many modules are deployed, all of the rich management, reporting and auditing features of the core Managed Text platform are available, as is the Managed Text Extensibility SDK (Software Development Kit).

Text Services for the Deaf

Endorsed by the RNID and local Deaf associations, the Managed Text Services for the deaf module provides a range of interactive text 'chat' services allowing the deaf community to interact with Police forces in real-time.

Web and desktop-based interactive messaging components with audible alarms and full 'conversation' history provide a reliable means of conversing with the deaf. All text communications are audited and may be subsequently retrieved for evidence and other purposes.

Community Services

The Community Services module provides a range of text services that allow the general public to interact with their local police services. For example, the Community Services module allows police forces to publish short or long text numbers and associated keywords, allowing people to 'text in' details of graffitti, vandalism and other incidents or to track the progress of a particular incident or investigation.


Command & Control

The Command and Control module provides a rich set of integration features for integrating inbound and outbound text capabilities into existing Police Command and Control frameworks such as Vantage.

Information Campaigns

The Information Campaigns module provides a tool that allows a force to setup and manage campaigns asking for public information in regards to specific incidents or crimes.

For example, the Information Campaigns module makes it extremely quick and simple to set-up a local or international long or short number and or keyword requesting Texts or Picture messages from the public in response to missing persons or murder cases. Responses - which may be attributed or completely anonymous - are recorded and may be retrieved via a variety of mechanisms to suit an individual forces requirements.


General Communications

The General Communications module provides a set of intuitive and easy-to-use web and email tools for two-way text communications with internal police staff and the general public alike.

Disaster Planning

The Disaster Planning module is specifically designed to provide an extremely high volume text delivery service for use in emergency situations.
